Memorial plans

First of all, on behalf of Marge's children and grandchildren (Ted, Caroline, Charlotte, Rachel, and Tucker), and those she treated as her children (Chris and I, the Strauss family, Liz Van Wonderen, and many others I'm sure), I would like to say thank you for the overwhelming show of support we have received.  Marge was a wonderful, generous woman and she is terribly missed.

Those who knew Marge are aware that she liked having a good time and would not like a traditional funeral.  We will gather at her house (605 Golf Ln., Indianapolis, IN 46260)  Saturday October 23rd at 2:00PM to share our memories of her.  Please feel free to come later if you are unable to attend at 2.  This will not be a formal event.

Marge was an artist and an ethusiastic patron of the arts.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to :

    Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (http://www.indianapolssymphony.org/)
    Indianapolis School of Ballet (http://www.indyballet.org/)
    Indianapolis Art Center (http://www.indplsartcenter.org/)

If you would like more details, please e-mail me directly at laura@indyviolins.com

  1. I was privileged to share Marge's last night alive with Ted and a few other friends. We had an hilariously funny dinner party together, all laughing so hard our sides hurt and it was hard to breathe. She was vitally alive and happily planning other fun times with us. I should be so lucky to die the way she did at the top of her form and with a gleam in her eyes. I miss her like fire in my heart, but I am delighted to have been part of her final happy evening.
